HOPAL,THE HISTORY OF NAMING

FROM THE NATURAL WORLD

The name Hopal is inspired by the brilliant look of the opal stone. The internal structure of the opal makes it diffract light; depending on the conditions in which it is formed, it can take on many colours. Opals come in a wide range of colours, from transparent to white, with many shades and flashes its radiance with even the slightest movement.

The word opal is thought to be derived from the Sanskrit upala, meaning “precious stone,” and later the Greek derivative “Opallios,” meaning “to see a change of colour.”
Our range is inspired by this beautiful stone, and to make it our own, we added an “h” as we all HOPE for a more ecological future for the next generations

Nordic Ecolabel is a cosmetic labelling which cares about the environment and evaluates the environmental impact during the whole life cycle, from formula to packaging to the disposal. Besides the ecological aspect which is a key part of Nordic Ecolabel, we put attention also to the effectiveness and skin tolerance, selecting ingredients complying with Ecolabel rules and placing them in formulas with appropriate concentrations, starting from the surfactants.

Packaging also must meet extremely high environmental standards, in fact GFL studied a new "one piece" tube as an innovative cosmetic tube made of a single material  and with a new opening system: breaking and screwing to close.
